What is Scaffolding?

Scaffolds are temporary structures that act as a safe working platform to make it easier for employees working at height. Scaffolding is usually used to help support construction workers and their materials while doing a job on-site. The use of scaffolding on a construction site will ensure safe and more convenient working conditions in comparison to that of more traditional materials such as ladders. This platform is a much more stable option and can be used to store materials while performing the task at hand.

All workers must know how to successfully erect scaffolding before using it on-site. Failure to erect the scaffolding correctly can result in serious workplace injuries or even death. Scaffolding work comprises building, dismantling, and altering the structure. At Strat Training, we offer our clients professional scaffold training to all clients living in South Africa. These training classes will assist employees with learning the responsibilities for erecting and inspecting scaffolding.
