Why You Should Join the Best First Aid Training Courses in South Africa

By joining a first aid training course, you will get to know how to assist others in a crisis. Usually, when an emergency occurs, it takes quite a bit of time for professional help to arrive on the scene. If you are equipped with the basic skills of first aid training, you could help take care of the patient involved, before the professionals take over. This could ultimately save lives of others and promote a safe environment for you and your loved ones.

Strat Training offers the best first aid training courses in South Africa. Since 2007, we have been sharing our experience in the health and safety environment with people who are passionate about learning.

Our First Aid Training Course Levels at Strat Training

When you choose to take part in a first aid training course in South Africa, you will be given the option to choose between a level one, two or three training class. Most beginner trainees will start with the level one course and later upgrade to the next two levels, however, there is a possibility that a potential trainee has already achieved either level one or level two status and would like to advance to the third level training course.

At Strat Training, our clients are allowed to choose between the following courses;

Basic First Aid Level 0
Basic First Aid Level 1

The Basic First Aid Level One training course deals with the different types of responsibilities that a qualified First Aider has towards others in a state of emergency. This entails some of the entry-level skills that can be useful during an unforeseen circumstance.

This training course takes place over two consecutive days. All successful First Aiders who complete this class will receive a certificate of completion that will be valid for two years.

Basic First Aid Level 2

The second level of the First Aid training course consists of more advanced subjects than that of the previous level class. In this training course, all of the participants will learn various important tips such as how to successfully manage an emergency scene, infant resuscitation and even how to deal with Epilepsy.

Basic First Aid Level 3

The Basic First Aid Level Three training course is the most advanced class available on offer. This is where all of the participants will learn much more complicated subject matters such as human anatomy.

This accredited training course can only be though to those people who have successfully completed the Basic First Aid Level Two training. If you did not complete level two but are interested in this training course, we allow participants to complete the previous two levels of training along with this course too, over a period of five consecutive days.

Top Five Benefits of Taking Part in a First Aid Course

In life, there are various experiences that you would go through unexpectedly. It is always best to be prepared with as much knowledge and skills you would need in the event of an accident. Below mentioned are the ten most important reasons why you should participate in a first aid course:

  • Partaking in a first aid course gives you the skills you would need to potentially save a life.
This is the number one reason as to why it is vital that you engage in a first aid training course. Most people are not trained to know how to handle a situation in which others could be seriously injured or ill. When you choose to actively engage in a first aid training class, you will learn great tips and skills to use to save a life when you are faced with a critical situation.
  • It reduces the number of accidents you could potentially be involved in
First aid training helps to make you more aware of the dangers in your environment. This benefit makes it possible for you to actively minimise your exposure to all types of risks.
  • It promotes a positive outlook on life.
Another great advantage of participating in a first aid course shows that you care about the safety of yourself and your loved ones. It boosts your personal morale. This is one of the most important personal gains that all trainees will take away from the course. First aid training provides the trainees with a sense of wellbeing.
  • First aid training can assist with reducing the recovery time of the person in danger
Being able to quickly respond to any medical emergency will mean that the patient can look forward to a speedy recovery. Time is one of the most important factors in the event of an accident. If you are equipped with the necessary skills to aid and assist another person in danger, it can set them on the road to recovery much faster, rather than having to wait for an ambulance or other medical professionals to arrive on the scene.
  • Helps you to gain confidence and clarity on how to respond to an emergency
Most often we find that when we are faced with an emergency situation, we do not have the confidence to take full control of what is going on around us. By choosing to take part in a first aid training course, you will learn what is the best way to respond to these situations.
